In the campaign game, a wormhole is a big swirly object that allows the player to travel to a fresh galaxy.
When a player enters a wormhole, they have the option to travel to a new galaxy and upload their fleet.
Uploaded fleets are the blueprints in the player’s Inventory. It is not the actually ships following them around.
These uploaded fleets then become Agents that can appear in other players’ games.
Ships from modded factions do not become Agents.
The Wormhole also refers to the server that holds the fleet blueprints and serves them up to other players.
